Both Caleb and Rhiannon were in cloth nappies from a very early age. I believe cloth nappies to be a better alternative than disposables for many reasons, but most importantly because of the environmental impact of disposables. I am one of a team of advisors working for The Nappy Lady to provide independent advice and support for parents looking to use cloth nappies.
If you are interested in using cloth nappies, the place to look for information is the internet. The choice available in most high street shops is generally restricted to plain terry squares and 'all-in-one'nappies. This is a very poor representation of the nappy systems available, as there are a wide variety of shaped, flat, one-piece, two-piece, terry, flannel and wool systems available. In fact, when you start looking, it is easy to be overwhelmed by the number of different kinds of cloth nappy!. It's important to choose the type of nappy that suits your circumstances. If you would like more information, or advice, please feel free to contact me.
There are many websites giving information on the use of cloth nappies, and the subject has been covered more thoroughly elsewhere than I could cover here. To find out more, either click on the link above, or do a search on cloth nappies using a decent search engine (I recommend Google).
